Parents should never assume children are saved because they are raised in a Christian home. They also should not pressure children into empty religious words. Faithful parenting presents the Gospel clearly: God is holy, we are sinners, Christ died and rose, and sinners must repent and believe. Ask questions. Listen carefully. Pray. Watch for fruit over time. Salvation belongs to the Lord, but parents are responsible to teach diligently and model sincere faith. Children need both truth and tenderness.
