Some men confuse leadership with control, volume, or getting their way. Scripture gives a better model: Christ. Jesus leads His people with authority, but also with sacrificial love. A husband or father who leads biblically does not bully his family. He takes responsibility. He speaks truth. He repents when wrong. He protects, provides, teaches, prays, and serves. Biblical leadership has backbone and tenderness. Harshness may produce fear, but it does not reflect Christlike headship.
