Most Christians do not drift overnight. Drift happens when the Word becomes optional, prayer becomes rare, sin becomes tolerated, and fellowship becomes negotiable. The danger is that drift often feels normal until the fruit appears. Scripture repeatedly calls believers to wake up, pay attention, and return to the Lord. The good news is that God is merciful. If you recognize drift, that awareness itself is a mercy. Do not wait for a dramatic feeling before obeying. Return to Scripture. Confess sin. Reconnect with faithful believers.
