Hope is not a feeling we manufacture. It is a gift poured into us by the God who is Himself the very source of it.
Paul's benediction in Romans 15:13 is breathtaking in its generosity. He doesn't ask God to give a little joy or a measure of peace — he prays that we would be filled with *all* joy and *all* peace. This is not the cautious prayer of someone who thinks God might be running low. It is the bold request of someone who knows the storehouses of heaven are inexhaustible.
Notice the order: joy and peace come *in believing*. They are not the reward for getting everything right; they are the fruit of trusting the One who already has. When we place our confidence in God rather than in circumstances, something shifts. The same situation looks different through the lens of faith, because we are no longer standing on what we can see — we are standing on who He is.
And then the overflow: 'that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.' This is the finish-line vision for every believer running this race. The Holy Spirit is not stingy. He fills, and fills, and fills again — until hope spills out of us and encourages everyone around us.

Take It With You
Today, when anxiety creeps in, pause and consciously hand that worry to God in a one-sentence prayer, then notice how even small acts of trust can shift your heart toward hope.
|
Prayer: God of hope, fill me today — with Your joy, Your peace, and a hope so real that others can see it on my face. Amen.
