Money often exposes deeper spiritual issues: fear, selfishness, pride, secrecy, lack of discipline, or competing priorities. In marriage, money should not be treated as a private kingdom. Husband and wife are one flesh and should pursue unity in financial stewardship. This includes honest budgeting, avoiding unnecessary debt, giving generously, saving wisely, and refusing materialism. Scripture does not condemn money, but it warns strongly against loving money. A Christian couple should ask, ‘How can our finances serve faithfulness to Christ?’
