Nighttime often magnifies fear because distractions fade and the mind begins rehearsing threats. Scripture repeatedly connects sleep with trust in the Lord. The Christian can rest because God does not sleep. This does not mean every fear disappears instantly, but it gives the believer a place to stand. Before bed, turn off panic-feeding media, read Scripture, pray, confess burdens to God, and remind your soul that the Lord is near. Sleep is an act of creaturely humility. You are not God, and you do not have to hold the world together overnight.
