A wife cannot force spiritual maturity in her husband, but she can influence him faithfully. Scripture calls wives to respect their husbands, and that respect does not mean silence about sin or pretending weakness is strength. It means speaking with wisdom, praying consistently, encouraging what is good, and avoiding contempt. If a husband is passive, a wife should be careful not to take over in bitterness, but she may humbly invite him toward leadership. In serious sin or danger, seek pastoral help. A godly wife’s faithfulness matters deeply in the home.
