Texas officials are bracing for another invasion coming from south of their border.
This time 60,000 more Hattian migrants, who if they don’t disperse, would be the most to ever attempt to enter the country illegally from Mexico.
As with other caravans, this group appears to be well funded and determined to get into the U.S just weeks after tens of thousands of other Hattians made it in.
The frustration Americans are feeling has gone off the charts.
They are seeing and hearing about millions of unvetted illegal aliens, many with COVID and other diseases, entering our borders without the federal government enforcing the immigration laws on the books, but instead providing them cash and transportation to various cities throughout the country.
While border security falls under the federal government’s responsibility, the Biden administration has significantly reined in the Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. This has resulted in fewer deportations and many people being released into the United States after illegally crossing the border, potentially incentivizing more illegal migration.
Overwhelmed Border Patrol agents have been pulled from the border to process people in custody, leaving the border unguarded in many regions.
According to a report from the Washington Examiner, “the number of Haitian migrants headed to the U.S. could be four times the size of the group that made it across in Del Rio last month, leading to chaos as 15,000 people camped out under an international bridge waiting to be taken into federal custody.”
State and local enforcement are not allowed to arrest illegal aliens for immigration crimes, but they can arrest them for trespassing. Governor Greg Abbott has said that he has readied the Texas National Guard to do just that.
Texas National Guard is gearing up at the border for increased caravans attempting to cross the border caused by Biden’s open border policy.

“Texas National Guard is gearing up at the border for increased caravans attempting to cross the border caused by Biden’s open-border policy,” Governor Abbott tweeted. “They are working with the Texas Dept. of Public Safety to seal surge locations at the border & arrest trespassers.”
The Examiner report continued on to say that “another 60,000 Haitians are headed to the U.S. beyond the 20,000 who made it to Del Rio last month. Another 30,000 Haitian migrants are in Colombia attempting to cross the border into Panama.”
Many of the Haitians have lived safely in South America for years, meaning that they can’t qualify for Asylum but without our laws being enforced, have a good chance of getting in anyway.
