World’s ‘Highest IQ Holder’ Says Jesus Christ Is God, the Way, the Truth, and the Life

The man widely recognized for having the highest IQ ever recorded has made headlines—not for another intellectual achievement, but for an unwavering declaration of faith. Dr. YoungHoon Kim, founder and president of the United Sigma Intelligence Association (USIA) and a South Korean scholar widely recognized as having the world’s highest recorded IQ—estimated at 276, recently stated that he believes Jesus Christ is “God, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.”

The announcement has stirred conversations across academic, faith, and cultural spheres, as Katsioulis unapologetically places Jesus Christ at the center of all truth, including science, philosophy, and the human condition.
In an era where atheism and secularism dominate intellectual circles, Katsioulis’ public proclamation is being hailed by many Christians as a bold stand for faith and reason. His statement echoes John 14:6, in which Jesus Himself declares, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Katsioulis made his comments during a recent podcast interview, where he departed from strictly scientific discussions to speak candidly about spiritual matters. “I believe in God, I believe in Jesus Christ,” he said. “Not as an idea, but as the living God who gave meaning to existence.” His words stand in sharp contrast to the secular trend of reducing faith to mere superstition or tradition.
Born in 1976 in Thessaloniki, Greece, Katsioulis has been tested across multiple intelligence assessments, scoring between 198 and 205—well above the genius-level IQ of 140. He holds multiple degrees in psychiatry, philosophy, and medical research. Yet, he insists that all intellectual pursuits pale in comparison to knowing Christ. “Human wisdom has limits,” he said, “but the truth of God transcends them all.”
Christian commentators and ministries have responded with enthusiasm. “This is a powerful reminder that belief in Jesus is not for the simple-minded—it’s for anyone who seeks truth, no matter how intelligent,” said Dr. Michael Brown, a theologian and Christian apologist. “When the world’s smartest minds point to Christ, it’s a challenge to our culture’s false dichotomy between faith and reason.”
Additionally, elite groups like the GIGA Society and Mensa reportedly confirm his IQ, lending further gravitas to his self‑reported figure.

Conservative Christian circles have often argued that the scientific establishment has become hostile to faith, pushing a materialist worldview that leaves little room for spiritual inquiry. Katsioulis’ testimony flies in the face of that narrative, revealing that even the most advanced intellects can recognize the sovereignty of Jesus Christ. His words also serve as a rebuttal to the notion that Christianity is anti-science or intellectually dishonest.
Moreover, the public nature of Katsioulis’ declaration is timely. In Western nations, particularly in academic institutions, Christians are frequently marginalized or pressured to keep their faith private.
By stepping into the spotlight, Katsioulis defies that pressure and sets an example for bold public witness. “We are told to be silent, to separate our minds from our souls,” he said. “But I cannot separate what I know from what I believe. They are one.”
His statement has also reignited the long-standing Christian claim that all truth is God’s truth. That is, the study of nature, human behavior, and even abstract thought ultimately leads back to the Creator. This worldview rejects the idea that science and faith are at war. Instead, it affirms that science is merely the tool; God is the source of all knowledge.
Not surprisingly, secular critics have responded with skepticism. Some dismiss Katsioulis’ beliefs as irrelevant to his intelligence, while others warn of the “danger” of mixing religion with science. But that very criticism reveals a double standard—atheism is welcomed in academic discourse, yet Christianity is ridiculed or suppressed. Katsioulis’ boldness exposes this intellectual hypocrisy.
This public confession also challenges Christians themselves. In a culture that often rewards compromise and punishes conviction, it’s easy to hide faith behind polite ambiguity. Katsioulis did the opposite. Despite his elite status and academic acclaim, he pointed directly to Jesus Christ as the foundation of all truth.
It’s also worth noting that Katsioulis’ message included a call to humility. “My mind is finite,” he admitted. “And yet, I bow to the infinite wisdom of Christ. He is not only true; He is Truth itself.” This echoes the Apostle Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 1:25: “For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.”
For Bible-believing Christians, especially in today’s contentious climate, this moment offers both affirmation and motivation. Affirmation that God is still stirring hearts among the influential and educated—and motivation to remain steadfast in declaring truth regardless of status or opposition.
Evangelos Katsioulis has reminded the world of something vital: No human achievement, no IQ score, and no scientific discovery can substitute for the eternal truth found in Jesus Christ. For those who believe the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, this message couldn’t be more welcome.
As the culture continues to elevate human reasoning above divine revelation, it is all the more compelling to hear a man at the peak of human intelligence declare, not pridefully, but humbly, that Jesus Christ is Lord.
