White BBC Reporters Suggest Winning UK Soccer Team Was Too White
Back in the 1970s, America was the land of opportunity and self-reliance.
As a result, the drive to compete was strong, which brought about some victories and some painful defeats.
Here is the opening to the Wide World Of Sports broadcast in 1978.
“The thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat!”
Fast forward to the radical, social justice 21st century, the focus has switched to what color the athletes are.
According to a “woke” reporter, England’s Women’s soccer team has a problem – they’re too white!
BBC presenter Eilidh Barbour during a Tuesday evening broadcast of the UEFA European Women’s Football Championship, the problem she sees in the winning UK soccer team, their player’s skin color. She could not point out any unethical behavior on the field from the British women, such as them intentionally hurting the opposing players, but sure could throw water on the team’s celebration over the “lack of diversity”.
Rather than applaud England’s victory over Norway from the previous night, Barbour instead used a break in the action to point out that the winning team, made up of white athletes, isn’t diverse enough.
“An historic eight-goal victory for England last night as the lionesses secured their place in the quarter-finals but all starting eleven players and the five substitutes that came on to the pitch were all white and that does point towards a lack of diversity in the women’s game.”
I'm sorry, what? There's a problem with the England women's team in the #WEUROS2022 being too "white"? Which players should be dropped because they have the wrong skin colour?
Just extraordinary that a BBC presenter can say this and still be in her job!

As if Barbour’s comment alone wasn’t ridiculous enough, consider the fact that she’s flat-out wrong about England’s roster. Though they weren’t amongst the players on the pitch Monday evening, the women’s team has a trio of players with a minority background: Jess Carter, Demi Stokes, and Nikita Parris.
Barbour has drifted in the dark recesses of wokeness, the problem is she just doesn’t know it.
Former British Labour Party MP Kate Hoey saw Barbour’s absurd take and couldn’t keep herself from responding, tweeting: “When we had an all-black men’s team in some athletics events did the BBC draw attention to that. Of course not. This is pathetic sports reporting.”

Darren Grimes, a British political commentator, refused to throw Barbour a life raft – pointing out the BBC’s obvious race-baiting. “The BBC are obsessed. What’s so wrong with the Lionesses being white? Is the suggestion here that black players are being unfairly discriminated against? If so, does the BBC have any evidence for this claim? It’s the constant race-baiting that baffles me,” Grimes tweeted.
'It seemed that she overstretched the mark and it was a ridiculous thing to think about… The BBC really should be looking at what on earth they were playing at.'

Should anyone have the misfortune of sitting for a game of poker with Barbour, they won’t need to guess what she’s holding. It’s obvious she prefers to play the race card.
Well, I guess some of the white girls should be placed with inferior players who happen to have more dark pigment in their skin.
Who cares that they practiced endlessly for over a decade to earn a place on the team!
I say no, the best player suits up, period.
