Police Claim, “Moms for Liberty” Are A Threat in Training

Police Training Materials Label Moms for Liberty as Extremist Group

A startling report has revealed that law enforcement agencies in Massachusetts have included the grassroots conservative group Moms for Liberty in police training materials—labeling them as an “extremist” threat. The controversial inclusion raises serious concerns about political bias, the criminalization of dissent, and the erosion of parental rights advocacy in America.

According to documents obtained by The Christian Post and The Daily Wire, Moms for Liberty was grouped with violent organizations such as neo-Nazis and white supremacists in a presentation created for the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee. The presentation was used to train law enforcement officers on how to identify and monitor so-called domestic threats.

The inclusion of a Christian, pro-family, pro-parental rights group in such a category has shocked conservatives across the nation. Moms for Liberty—a nationwide organization that has focused on opposing radical gender ideology, sexually explicit materials in schools, and critical race theory—has been a thorn in the side of far-left school boards and political elites. But few expected the group to be officially labeled a threat.

“It’s outrageous,” said Tiffany Justice, co-founder of Moms for Liberty, in a public statement. “We are mothers. We love our country. We love our children. And we are advocating for their education and protection—not tearing this country apart.”

The organization’s mission is centered on defending parental rights, promoting curriculum transparency, and upholding Judeo-Christian values in public education. It has grown rapidly since its founding in 2021, attracting members from across the country who feel ignored or vilified by progressive institutions.

Despite this, the police training slide grouped them under a broader category of “anti-government” and “extremist” groups. It cited a report from the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a left-leaning watchdog organization that in June 2023 controversially added Moms for Liberty to its “hate group” list—a move widely criticized by conservatives and Christian leaders alike.

The SPLC has long been accused of smearing mainstream conservative organizations by lumping them in with true hate groups. Critics say the group has abandoned its original mission in favor of political activism against Christian and traditional values.

“This is nothing more than an attempt to silence patriotic mothers who dare to challenge the radical left’s grip on education,” said Pastor Lucas Jennings of Faith United Church in Boston. “It’s spiritual warfare dressed up as public safety.”

The inclusion of such political bias in police training raises grave constitutional questions. It suggests that law enforcement could be swayed by ideological leanings rather than objective security threats. Worse, it potentially paints Christian and conservative parents as enemies of the state simply for standing up for their children.

Massachusetts law enforcement officials have yet to offer a full explanation. Some police departments have denied using the training materials directly, while others are conducting internal reviews. But the fact that the materials were created and distributed by a state agency is deeply concerning.

“This is a violation of the First Amendment and an assault on the fabric of our Republic,” said constitutional attorney David McClure. “When the government begins to label peaceful citizen groups as extremists, you are looking at the politicization of law enforcement.”

Many Christian families and conservative organizations now fear a chilling effect—where speaking out at school board meetings or organizing for curriculum reform may result in being targeted or surveilled by local or federal authorities. The message is clear: tow the progressive line, or face consequences.

For Moms for Liberty, the incident only confirms what they’ve suspected all along—that there is a coordinated effort to marginalize biblical values in public life. “They don’t want parents involved,” said Justice. “They want the government to be the parent.”

Supporters across the country have rallied in response, urging governors, state legislators, and attorneys general to investigate how law enforcement training has become infused with ideological propaganda. Calls for transparency and reform are growing louder as Americans awaken to the dangers of weaponized institutions.

At its core, this controversy is not just about one group. It is a reflection of a broader cultural battle over truth, morality, and the role of parents in raising children. As Christians, we are called to speak truth boldly, even when labeled as “extreme” by a world that has lost its moral compass.

Let it be known: if defending biblical values, advocating for our children, and protecting the sanctity of the family makes us “extremists,” then perhaps the word no longer has meaning. The real extremism lies in a culture that celebrates confusion, criminalizes conviction, and replaces God-given rights with government overreach.
