Oops Sunshine! Governor Newsom’s In-Laws Donated To DeSantis
The arrogant governor from the Golden State, the same one from which I am working feverously to escape, is obviously bent on running for the Oval Office in 2024 or 2028 at the latest.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has zeroed on whom mostly likely would be his adversary in a 2028 match-up, possibly even 2024, depending on former President Donald J. Trump’s decision if to be the GOP nominee in 2 years..
Newsom recently aired attack ads in Florida against DeSantis and has donated $100,000 to his opponent Democrat Charlie Crist.
In what has to be a big blow to Newsome’s huge ego, a Fox News report revealed that Newsome’s in-laws made a sizeable donation to a political rival, Ron DeSantis, who is seeking re-election against Democratic challenger Charlie Crist in Florida’s gubernatorial race.
As expected, conservative media personalities pounced on the news, having “fun” at Gavin’s expense.
Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been a vocal critic of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, in recent weeks, but Newsom’s in-laws seem to approve of the popular Republican.
According to contribution records on the Friends of Ron DeSantis PAC website, the Siebel Family Revocable Trust made a $5,000 contribution on April 6, 2022.
That trust is run by Kenneth F. Siebel Jr. and Judith A. Siebel, the parents of Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel, records obtained by Fox News Digital show.
Newsom has aired attack ads in Florida making the claim that “freedom is under attack” under DeSantis, urging residents to flee to California, according to The Washington Times. DeSantis responded that he sees plenty of California license plates in Florida.
KTTV-TV reported last week that the California governor revealed he had donated $100,000 to former Florida governor and Democrat Charlie Crist, DeSantis’ opponent in his upcoming race, telling reporters that he doesn’t support candidates who “demean people.”
“You want to ask what my ‘why’ is in life? I don’t like bullies,” Newsom said. “Who the hell raised these guys? What kind of people are they?”
“Gavin Newsom’s father-in-law donated to Ron DeSantis,” conservative podcaster Liz Wheeler tweeted. “That is objectively hilarious.”
“I’m sure he’s humiliated because of how aggressive he’s come out against Ron DeSantis,” conservative radio personality Clay Travis said on an appearance on Fox News on Wednesday. “There’s a possibility guys, that this could be a presidential election in 2024 or 2028. These guys don’t like each other. And they have such diametrically opposed perspectives when it comes to COVID.
“Ron DeSantis got everything right on the data,” he added, “and I think [that] deep in his heart, Gavin Newsom knows that, and he’s so bothered by it that he can’t stop talking about [DeSantis].”
