Following their new nation winning its independence from England, the founding fathers spent painstakingly long days establishing a governmental system for the United States of America.
Included in their planning were 3 equal co-branches of the federal government.
One of them, the Judicial, would decide the constitutionality of federal laws and resolve other disputes about federal laws.
In their papers and commentaries, the nation’s founders would frequently quote the Bible for guidance.
For example; Moses imposed the requirements for judges in the Old Testament:
“But in addition, you should choose some capable men and appoint them as leaders of the people: leaders of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens. They must be God-fearing men who can be trusted and who cannot be bribed.” (Exodus 18:21)
This formula was used to establish the various courts including city, state, appeals, and the Supreme Court.
But, when corrupt judges are appointed instead, cultures decline exponentially.
The Obama-nominated and Biden-supporting federal judge overseeing the 2020 election interference case against Donald Trump in Washington imposed a narrow gag order on him on Monday, barring the Republican former president from making statements targeting prosecutors, possible witnesses, and court staff.
Yes, Judge Tanya Chutkan imposed a gag order on Trump in the middle of a presidential election.
The far-left judge’s ruling was in response to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s motion to gag Trump he filed last month.
“The need for the proposed order is further evidenced by a review of the defendant’s prejudicial statements in the weeks since the Government initially filed its motion on September 15,” Jack Smith’s prosecutors wrote in the court filing.
Smith’s prosecutors argued Trump waged “a sustained campaign of prejudicial public statements regarding witnesses, the Court, the District, and prosecutors.”
Trump’s lawyer John Lauro rightfully argued a gag order would stop Trump from campaigning and speaking on important issues.
Judge Chutkan laughed at Trump’s lawyers before telling them that Trump does not have unfettered First Amendment Rights.
“Chutkan laughed after Trump’s lawyer John Lauro argued that the current conditions are working, saying she disagreed before she went through some of Trump’s statements one by one.”
“Chutakn said Trump “doesn’t” have unfettered First Amendment rights, and that there’s “no question” that the court is entitled to draw restrictions to ensure the fair administration of justice.” NBC News reported.
“You keep talking about censorship like the defendant has unfettered First Amendment rights. He doesn’t,” Judge Chutkan said, according to the AP.
Trump’s lawyer John Lauro fiercely opposed any gag order, saying Trump is entitled to criticize prosecutors and “speak truth to oppression.”
“He is allowed to make statements the prosecution doesn’t like. That’s part of living with the First Amendment,” said Lauro, who declined to comment on the ruling after the hearing.
Trump posted on his Truth Social platform during the hearing, saying, “The TRUMP GAG ORDER that the CORRUPT Biden Administration is trying to obtain is totally Unconstitutional!”
