Following the Democrat’s unexpected success in the midterm elections, their political party’s leadership went on various news network shows on Sunday.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that she now fully supports President Joe Biden should he run for reelection in 2024.
Anchor George Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think President Biden should run again?”
Pelosi said, “Yes, I do. President Biden has been a great president for our country. He has accomplished so much. Over 10 million jobs under his leadership, working with the private sector, of course. He has just done so many things that are so great we would need a lot more show to talk about it.”
“He’s put money in people’s pockets, vaccines in their arms, children back to school, people back to work, for starters, creating 10 million jobs. He’s made America independent by passing the CHIPS bill, which says we’re no longer reliant on those who withhold products that enable us to manufacture in our country.”
She continued, “I just saw him make the speech in Egypt where he spoke about America’s commitment to preserving the planet with legislation, the IRA, $368 billion in good-paying green jobs, clean air and clean water for our children, national security issue to stop migrations and competition for habitat and food as well as honoring our responsibility to future generations.”
Pelosi added, “He has been a great president. He has a great record to run on.”

This is a big change for Nancy.
Back on September 21st, the House Speaker refused to say if President Joe Biden should seek a second term in 2024 or if her fellow Democrat should step aside and let a younger candidate run.
Pelosi refused to answer the question about Biden’s future during a press conference at the Capitol, and she instead pointed the reporter back in time to the president’s “successful” 2020 campaign.
“President Biden is the president of the United States. He did a great service to our country; he defeated Donald Trump. Let’s not forget that.”
“If you care about the air we breathe, the water we drink, the education of our children, jobs for our … our um, their families, pensions for their seniors, any subject you can name,” Pelosi said.
“I’m not going into politics about whether the president should run or not,” she continued, before taking other questions.
President Biden has not formally announced if he will be seeking re-election, especially with his job performance polling coming in below 40%.
