Mom Fighting Back Tears From Her Kids’ Public Meltdown, Is Blessed By A Complete Stanger

I am convinced that if people would listen to the still small voice telling them to help others and actively look for ways to make a difference in their communities, the world would be a much better place.

The news is typically full of depressing stories of humanity lying, stealing, and physically hurting others.

The good news is there are still “Good Samaritans” serving others quietly throughout God’s glorious creation, in nations worldwide.

A mother-of-two in Bentonville, Arkansas was blessed by an unexpected, random act of kindness from a total stranger.

Devon Linden takes her two children to swim practice every week, but this particular day was more difficult than most. As with those of us who have raised children, sometimes all the kids can have a bad day and act selfishly at the same time, causing big-time stress.

In this story, Devon was having one of these days.

“I was really honestly near tears just as a mom, trying to keep it together and get my kids out of there,” Linden said.

That’s when a stranger came out of nowhere, handed her a note of encouragement, and told her that she’s got this.

“In a moment where she saw me struggling, she didn’t pass judgment on me, my kids, my parenting, anything that was happening. She just chose to bless me,” Linden said.

The note read: “Your life and purpose is huge!! Life is so precious. Every day is a gift, so make it count. Enjoy!!”

It wasn’t until she got in her car that she unfolded the note and found a surprise: $100!

Linden said she broke down in tears.

She told 5 News Online that this is the kind of person she hopes to be in the future.

“I’m trying to think of what this new decade is going to bring for me, what type of person I can strive to be, and I just thought, I want to be like this lady. I want to be impactful in the best way,” Linden said.

And she has some words for the woman who blessed her.

“Really just thank you for seeing me in a hard time and really just giving me exactly what I needed in that moment to feel like I can spend my day being a good mom and person,” Linden said.

This story reminds us that even the small things we do for others in need, sometimes for only a brief moment, can make a big difference for those we were able to bless.
