Molotov Mayhem: Terror Strikes Colorado March

Targeted Terror Attack: Several Injured at Israeli Hostage March in Colorado, Suspect in Custody

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, a peaceful demonstration in Boulder, Colorado, advocating for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas, was violently disrupted by a targeted terror attack. The event, organized by the group “Run for Their Lives,” took place at the Pearl Street Mall, a popular pedestrian area in downtown Boulder.

According to eyewitnesses and law enforcement officials, the assailant, identified as 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, approached the gathering and hurled Molotov cocktails into the crowd while shouting anti-Zionist slogans such as “Free Palestine” and “End Zionists.” The attack resulted in six individuals suffering burn injuries, some of which are reported to be life-threatening.

The FBI has classified the incident as a “targeted terror attack,” with Director Kash Patel stating that the agency is fully investigating the matter. Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn confirmed the arrest of the suspect at the scene but cautioned that it was too early to determine the exact motive behind the attack.

This heinous act of violence has sent shockwaves through the Jewish community and beyond. The demonstration was intended as a peaceful expression of solidarity with Israeli hostages, reflecting the community’s commitment to justice and human rights. Instead, it became a scene of chaos and terror, highlighting the growing threat of antisemitic violence in the United States.

Governor Jared Polis condemned the attack, emphasizing that “hate-filled acts of any kind are unacceptable.” The incident has prompted increased security measures at Jewish institutions and events across the country, particularly as it coincided with the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.

The attack in Boulder is part of a disturbing trend of rising antisemitic incidents in the United States. Just days prior, two Israeli diplomats were killed in Washington, D.C., in what authorities are also investigating as a targeted act of violence. These events underscore the urgent need for vigilance and proactive measures to combat hate-fueled extremism.

As Christians and conservatives, we must stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters, denouncing antisemitism in all its forms. Our faith calls us to be peacemakers and defenders of the oppressed, and we must not remain silent in the face of such atrocities.

The attack also raises concerns about the influence of extremist ideologies and the potential for radicalization within our communities. It is imperative that law enforcement agencies, community leaders, and citizens work together to identify and address the root causes of such violence, ensuring that our cities remain safe havens for all.

In the wake of this tragedy, we are reminded of the importance of unity and resilience. The Jewish community in Boulder has expressed sorrow and support for the victims, emphasizing the need for healing and solidarity. As a nation, we must come together to uphold the values of freedom, tolerance, and justice that define our society.

The investigation into the Boulder attack is ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward. As we await further details, let us keep the victims and their families in our thoughts and prayers, and recommit ourselves to building a more compassionate and inclusive community.

In these challenging times, our faith provides a source of strength and guidance. Let us draw upon our spiritual convictions to confront hatred with love, and darkness with light. Together, we can overcome the forces that seek to divide us and reaffirm our shared commitment to peace and understanding.
