Miracle Or Luck? Man Survives 18 Hrs. At Sea By Clinging To Soccer Ball That Floated Up To Him
For those of us who have been pulled out towards deeper waters via undercurrents, this story is amazing.
A man from North Macedonia survived 18 hours lost at sea by clinging to a small toy soccer ball that floated towards him while trying to survive.
Various Greek media outlets are reporting that the man, known only as Ivan, 30, and a friend became caught in powerful currents over the weekend off the coast of Myti Beach in Kassandra, Greece, Fox 5 reports.
Friends immediately contacted local authorities who declared Ivan and the other man lost at sea.
The small soccer ball was lost by two youngsters 10 days prior.
Despite the fact that the ball was running out of air, Ivan was able to utilize it to breathe and stay afloat.
Unbelievably, his life was saved when a child’s ball floated towards him in the ocean.

He was eventually rescued by the Greek Coast Guard and has since been released from the hospital.
Here is the photo of Ivan, the “miracle” ball, his parents, and the mayor of Kassandra that has been shared widely on social media.
A mother of two came forward to say the ball appeared to be the same one her sons lost while at a beach 80 miles away, 10 days earlier.
For those of us who have faith in God, the fact that this ball floated up to this man who was struggling to stay afloat, was not an accident. It was instead the consumption of the events that took place to get the ball from boys on the beach, out to sea, over to a man that was going to be desperately in need of it.
Even if you don’t believe in a God who sovereignly caused these events to take place, then luck was surely on this guy’s side when he needed it the most.
