‘IT’S COMMON SENSE’: Trump Says ‘I Want a Border, I Want Voter ID, I Want Low Taxes’
In addition to former President Donald J. Trump’s long career in the New York real estate development business, Trump was equally known for his entertainment prowess.
Trump hosted the award-winning reality television program, The Apprentice, which judged the business skills of a group of contestants, for 14 seasons.
Following Trump’s announcement he was running for Oval Office, the same people on the left who vied for his attention became some of his worst enemies.
Trump is teasing his supporters in 2022 by withholding his official announcement that he is running again in 2024.
On Saturday former President Donald Trump brought his “American Freedom Tour” to Austin, TX, where he touted his endorsements in several Texas primary runoffs and regaled attendees with stories from his presidency and promises to “take back our beautiful, beautiful, beautiful White House” in 2024.
Trump spoke for more than an hour to a crowd of roughly 8,000 people at the Austin Convention Center.
“The Donald” was the last speaker of the day and took the stage after remarks by Mike Pompeo, former secretary of state and CIA director under Trump; Donald Trump Jr.; and Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host.
During the event in Austin, Texas, Trump told supporters he doesn’t care what you call him —he just wants a border.
“Call me conservative. Call me liberal. I want a border. I want voter ID. I want low taxes. Call me liberal. Call me anything you want, but when you think about it, most of it – it’s common sense,” Trump told the audience.
“Get ready to work; get ready to fight; get ready to win and win like never before,” Trump said in closing. “We will take back the House, we will take back the Senate, and we will take back our country.”
While the former POTUS ratchets up the rhetoric for a possible run, former FLOTUS Melania Trump, when asked about another term for Trump, said: “never say never.”
Here is the entire speech:
Polls have Mr. Trump way ahead of anyone publically considering running for the GOP Presidential nomination in 2024.
Who the MAGA President will run against is anyone’s guess in 2022.
