Afghanistan

Impeachable? Before Afghan collapse, Biden pressured Ghani to ‘change perception’, even if not true.

During the four years that President Donald Trump was in office, there was an unusually high amount of information leaked to the media, from anonymous federal employees who had no authorization to do so.

In addition, in an attempt to impeach the new president, FBI director James Comey met with Trump early on to tell him about a dossier floating around concerning Trump’s involvement with Russians.

As the Mueller report confirmed, the dossier was actually a fake political opposition research paper paid for the by Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee.

CNN and the New York times were notified after Comey told Trump about the document, then they reported breaking news that Director of National Intelligence James Clapper was told that Trump was aware of the dossier. It’s a little confusing but hopefully, you can see the lengths the left went to to try to remove Trump from office.

When the Democrats are seeking or in power the scenario does a 180. Even though Joe Biden was experiencing fatigue and mental acuity issues during the campaign, the press kept everything under wraps, deceiving the public concerning Biden’s fitness for office.

The Afghanistan exit fiasco has alarmed so many people around the world, that some balanced news leaks have begun to be released to the public.

Reuters reviewed a transcript of the presidential phone call with President Biden and former Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani. They listened to the audio to authenticate the conversation. The materials were provided on condition of anonymity by a source who was not authorized to distribute it.

They reported the following on August 31st.

In the last call between U.S. President Joe Biden and his Afghanistan counterpart before the Taliban seized control of the country, the leaders discussed military aid, political strategy and messaging tactics, but neither Biden nor Ashraf Ghani appeared aware of or prepared for the immediate danger of the entire country falling to insurgents, a transcript reviewed by Reuters shows.

In the call, Biden offered aid if Ghani could publicly project he had a plan to control the spiraling situation in Afghanistan. “We will continue to provide close air support, if we know what the plan is,” Biden said. Days before the call, the U.S. carried out airstrikes to support Afghan security forces, a move the Taliban said was in violation of the Doha peace agreement.

The men spoke for roughly 14 minutes on July 23. On August 15, Ghani fled the presidential palace, and the Taliban entered Kabul. Since then, tens of thousands of desperate Afghans have fled and 13 U.S. troops and scores of Afghan civilians were killed in a suicide bombing at the Kabul airport during the frenetic U.S. military evacuation.

Biden lauded the Afghan armed forces, which were trained and funded by the U.S. government. “You clearly have the best military,” he told Ghani. “You have 300,000 well-armed forces versus 70-80,000 and they’re clearly capable of fighting well.” Days later, the Afghan military started folding across provincial capitals in the country with little fight against the Taliban.

In much of the call, Biden focused on what he called the Afghan government’s “perception” problem. “I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,” Biden said. “And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.”

Some would call this Quid Pro Quo, others regular foreign diplomacy, but the whole series of events looks suspicious to people like me who don’ trust the government very much. Either way, the Taliban has taken over, President Ashraf Ghani has abandoned he fled the country and Biden is responsible for the deaths of 13 military personnel and countless Amerian and Afghani civilians.
