Illinois Gov. Signs Sex Ed Bill Requiring Kindergartners to Define Gender Identity

One of the most important responsibilities of parents is to ensure their children develop the skills necessary to function and even excel as adults once out of the “nest”.

As the United States began, public education was established focusing on reading, writing, and arithmetic. A local teacher would work with students, K-8 in a single room.

Unfortunately, as parents kept their heads down working hard to provide for their families, progressive ideology was inserted into the school curriculum. In addition to the core issues, with each subsequent generation, sex education, social justice, and marxism have taken a prominent position in the students’ day.

Illinois is a poster child for advancing the left’s desired education, social justice training center models. Starting at age 5 they work to sexualize and develop insecure youth, focusing on social justice.

Breitbart reports Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) of Illinois signed SB 818 into law last Friday, claiming the new sex-ed standards that require kindergartners to learn to define gender identity “will help keep our children safe.”

“Modernizing our sex education standards will help keep our children safe and ensure important lessons like consent and internet safety are taught in classrooms,” Pritzker said in a statement. “By working together, we’ll continue to strengthen our education system and deliver the bright future our kids deserve.”

The new law, which takes effect immediately, requires public schools in the state that offer sex education to align their curriculum with the National Sex Education Standards (NSES), the creation of organizations that advocate for sex ed consistent with abortion rights and LGBTQ inclusion.

Pritzker’s office states the new sex ed standards are “voluntary,” and that they are only mandated for school districts that are already teaching comprehensive sex education.

The new law, then, leaves it up to Illinois parents who oppose the new standards to opt their children out of sex ed, or to work to elect school board members who agree to stop teaching comprehensive sex ed in their districts.

“No student should feel stigmatized or excluded in the classroom,” said State Senator Ram Villivalam (D), who sponsored the bill. “This legislation puts forth guidelines for an inclusive, culturally competent curriculum to keep students safe and healthy.”

U.S. Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) responded Wednesday on his personal Twitter account to a tweet from website Not the Bee which observed, “Kindergartners in Illinois may soon be learning all about ‘gender identity’ and ‘cohabitating families.’”

The Biden administration is proposing universal preschool giving the government access to children, starting at three years old. In addition through free community college, the government would get two more years to influence young adults.

Parents who leave their children in these sexualized Marxist portals have set them up for a lifetime of confusion and shifting morality. And with the cost of living in states like IL, both parents must work thus will continue to allow the state to raise their children for them.

My solutions, homeschool or private schools. If necessary, move to a state with a lower cost of living, freeing up one of the parents.
