GOP Close To Losing House Majority! MTG – ‘Hopefully No One Dies’

As with the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, what could the GOP accomplish if their leadership only had a brain.

In spite of only having a slim majority, GOP investigations into the Biden’s appeared to be closing in on Hunter and Joe.

On Tuesday Speaker Mike Johnson announced The House will hold a formal vote to authorize the ongoing Republican-led impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

Johnson said the House is at an “inflection point” and accused the White House of “stonewalling” the investigation, which was launched by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy back in September.

“They’re refusing to turn over key witnesses to allow them to testify as they’ve been subpoenaed,” Johnson claimed of the Biden administration. “They’re refusing to turn over thousands of documents for the National Archives.

“The House has no choice, if it’s going to follow its constitutional responsibility, to formally adopt an impeachment inquiry on the floor so that when the subpoenas are challenged in court we’ll be at the apex of our constitutional authority.”

So what did the brainless Republicans do to sabotage their own plans? They expelled a member who always voted with the party and the former Speaker announced he is jumping ship.

Scandal-plagued Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y. was expelled when 105 of his peers voted with the Democrats.

McCarthy, R-Calif., said he would leave Congress by the end of this month after he was ousted from the speakership two months ago.

According to the Hill, “Republicans will only be able to afford three GOP defections to pass any party-line legislation,” after McCarthy’s departure, and Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH) is also expected to exit Congress next year.

“I mean, we’re operating on razor-thin margins here,” Rep. Mike Garcia, R-Calif., told Fox News Digital.

“Between God, gravity, indictments, and retirements, we’re one day away from losing the majority depending on what happens.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) also weighed in on the state of the slim Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, following the news of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announcing his soon departure from Congress.

“Well.. Now in 2024, we will have a 1 seat majority in the House of Representatives. Congratulations Freedom Caucus for one and 105 Rep who expel our own for the other,” the MAGA congresswoman posted.
