Flashback – Fauci 2021: Vaccinated people ‘can feel safe that they are not going to get infected’

The recently retired, but not going anywhere fast, former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 1984 to 2022, and the chief medical advisor to the president from 2021 to 2022, has been wrong about COVID from its inception.

According to numerous emails and other information gathered by U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), Fauci was involved in and funded the “gain of function” research on COVID-19 conducted at the Wuhan Insitute of Virology.

In March 2020,  Fauci told 60 Minutes that masks should largely be reserved for healthcare providers. In April, the recommendations were broadened to include simple masks for the general public. Infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci tells 60 Minutes: “There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask.”

In May of 2021, Anthony Fauci told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes

“So, low likelihood of transmission, low likelihood of getting infected. When you do get infected, the chances are, you’re going to be without symptoms. And because of that, that was the accumulating scientific data that prompted the CDC to make that recommendation, that when people are vaccinated, they can feel safe that they are not going to get infected, whether they’re outdoors or indoors.”

“That’s the bottom line of that to get people to appreciate you get vaccinated and you’re really quite safe from getting infected.”

“There will always be breakthrough infections, but given the denominator of people who are vaccinated, that’s a very, very rare event.”

“So, the bottom line trust is good news. And in many respects, it really is a big, you know, endorsement for why people should be getting vaccinated.”

I never trusted Fauci and considering the negative effects that some who were vaccinated have been experiencing, I feel vindicated for not taking any of the COVID jabs.

Fauci is not out of the weeds as the new GOP House majority will be holding hearings looking at COVID, starting with its origins.
