The Morristown Fire Department responded to the local Walmart store to rescue a kitten stuck inside a vending machine.
The City of Morristown said in a Facebook post that employees at the Morristown Walmart store contacted the fire department when they heard a kitten crying from inside the Pepsi vending machine.
“Lindsey from Walmart at Crockett Trace called Morristown Fire Department this morning about a kitten stuck in a drink machine. Firefighters from Station 1 went to investigate.”
“Upon arrival, Lindsey told them that a kitten was in the Pepsi machine. Crews could hear the kitten crying. They unplugged the machine and removed the cover on the back, but couldn’t see the kitten. They found another opening where they could see it and coaxed it out. Now Lindsey has a new kitten:)”.
Fire crews joked about naming it Pepsi. Thank you to our Morristown Firefighters for going above and beyond to save this sweet little kitten!”

The tiny kitten was adopted by Lindsey, the employee who originally heard the kitten’s cries for help.
Fire crews joked about naming it “Pepsi”. One Facebook user suggested “Mountain Mew”.
“Thank you to our Morristown Firefighters for going above and beyond to save this sweet little kitten!” the spokesperson for the City of Morrison said.
