What should have been a straight forward bill, to help those who lost work because of the pandemic, is stalled because Speaker Pelosi is holding the process hostage.
Just like the last round of stimulus, the left is attempting to bail out progressive city’s pensions and send their major donor’s organizations, like Planned Parenthood, money through these huge spending bills.
Sickening when you think about it, no stimulus for those effected by CV-19, unless leftist cities, states, and businesses get money to help them with their fiscal mismanagement for several decades.
So until Nancy or President Trump’s team caves, the almost One Trillion dollars will not get sent out to the millions of Americans who own small business, or are unemployed and their unemployment checks just plummeted to below welfare levels.
When asked today, President Donald Trump said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are blocking the fourth proposed round of aid to Americans suffering the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump said he is personally involved in negotiations with Congress, but he dismissed the idea that he should be meeting personally with “Crazy Nancy” Pelosi to break the logjam.
“What the Democrats want, they’re slow-rolling it and all they’re really interested in is bailout money to bail out radical left governors and radical left mayors,” Trump said.
Trump cited Chicago, Portland, and New York City as examples of poorly run cities that do not deserve a bailout.
“We’re really not interested in that,” Trump said.
He added that Democrats failed to act to help Americans still suffering from the effects of the virus and the economic shutdowns.
“They’re not interested in the people. They’re not interested in unemployment. They’re not interested in evictions,” Trump said.
According to Breibart, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows publicly criticized congressional Democrats last Friday for refusing to work with Republicans to negotiate a deal, stating they had made “zero offers.”
“We call on Capitol Hill to get serious about their negotiations,” Meadows said at the White House press briefing on Friday. “The president is serious about the negations.”
The $600 a week unemployment benefits expire on Friday, as Congressional leaders have not reached a deal to keep them going.
Meadows said that Republicans had offered four different plans to keep the benefits flowing, but that they had been rejected by Democrats.
Senate Republicans unveiled a $1 trillion plan on Tuesday that would reduce additional federal unemployment benefits from $600 to $200 a week and offer another round of direct payments of $1200 to qualifying Americans. The bill also proposed protecting businesses from coronavirus liabilities, spending $75 billion for vaccine development and testing, and offer $105 billion to help schools reopen.
Odds are, Nancy will cave again, but you never know with “Crazy Nancy”. This whole process is dirty, just like the pigs on the left like it. I for one am tired of joining them in the pigpen, but this is how DC “works”.
