On last Friday’s FNC’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) explained why he was initially wrong about President Joe Biden’s selection of then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) as his vice-presidential running mate in 2020.
Joe has given Vice-President Harris specific projects to be the lead on.
The result of putting the nation’s trust in Harris’ ability and tenacity to get the job done, an ongoing abject failure.
On the illegal immigration issue:
With the rise in migrants coming from a region of Central America known as the Northern Triangle—comprised of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras—the Vice President was asked to work out a solution with the 3 leaders to slow the massive numbers of their citizens from heading to the USA.
After a long delay, Harris finally hosted a few zoom calls with the leaders of the 3 countries and 8 months later finally flew to Guatemala.
Last month, Vice President Harris announced her plan. Give $1.9 Billion to 10 businesses in the region hoping they create more opportunities, and provide more work, keeping the migrants at home.
The results: During the 14 months of Harris’s assignment, a record number of illegal aliens have crossed our southern border.
Making issues worse for Harris, she has significant problems delivering speeches.
As a result of this and other policy failures, DeSantis believes they disqualify her from being considered as a viable replacement for Biden in case he was to be removed. This is preventing a serious consideration of the 25th amendment from being used to replace the current aging and incompetent Chief Executive Officer of the United States.
“So here’s the thing – I thought Biden picking her at first was like the worst decision ever because she’s not great,” DeSantis said. “But she’s like the best impeachment insurance and 25th amendment insurance anyone could have,” he said.
“Because as bad as Biden is, even though he can barely read the teleprompter, and as much as people disapprove of him, nobody wants Harris, and so they’d much rather stick with Biden floundering around than actually turn the wheels of power over to somebody that clearly is in over her head,” DeSantis added.
Once again I think DeSantis got it right, this time on the dilemma the left has with Biden and Harris.
I believe the assignment given to Biden was to just execute the globalist, extreme plans given to him by Barack Obama, and to not screw things up.
After 20 months in office, Biden is not working out for either side of the aisle.
But with Kamala as the backup for the Democrats, they can’t do anything about Joe Biden. Until he is removed or voted out, the entire nation will continue to suffer from Joe’s ineptness every day he occupies the Oval Office.
