Democrats Worry Joe Biden’s Radical Agenda Is Failing, ‘We Better Have a Plan B’

The confusion and fallout from the 2020 elections can still be felt.

The ongoing election audits, in AZ, & GA, looking for fraud keep the Trump faithful engaged and them ready to vote again in 22 & 24.

The far-left believing Joe Biden won the Presidential election in a blowout, set lofty goals and a radical agenda to be passed during the first 2 years of Biden’s term.

They felt like they had a mandate and even with small majorities in the congress would get everything through, one way or another.

After 9 months though,  some House Democrats are worried President Biden’s radical agenda is failing to get universal buy-in, leading to divisions within the party that has begun to play out in the media over how to pass the proposed $3.5 trillion reconciliation package.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) appear to have underestimated the fortitude of the few reaming moderates in the party which has wounded President Joe Biden’s massive social spending plan, raising the prospect that the package could stall out, shrink dramatically — or even fail altogether.

Several roadblocks have solidified over the past few days.

Moderate Senate Democrats Joe Manchin (W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.) continue to be a major headache for party leadership’s $3.5 trillion target. The Senate parliamentarian just killed the party’s push to enact broad immigration reform, including Amnesty. House members may tank the prescription drugs overhaul the party has run on for years. And a fight continues to brew over Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) push to expand Medicare.

“If any member of Congress is not concerned that this could fall apart, they need treatment,” Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) told Politico in reference to the Democrat’s inability to work together.

Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) told the outlet the party is so fractured over the massive tax and spend bill she hopes there is a second plan up Biden’s sleeve.

“I wish that we could all be more on the same page, in terms of timing, of the need to push the [American Families Plan],” Hirono said. “I’m hopeful we are going to have a meeting of the minds and not wait until next year… we better have a Plan B.”

Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) added Democrats are lost in a maze of complicated congressional procedures, and no one knows “where this [package] is gonna go.” Phillips also told Politico he holds the Democrat leadership responsible for the mess.

“None of us know where this is gonna go,” Phillips said. “This is where leadership is made or broken, plain and simple. And that’s true of the president, that’s true of speakers, that’s true of majority leaders.”

Only time will tell concerning what Manchin and Sinema will end up doing after all.

If they do force huge concessions in the 3.5T spending bill which will need to go through the budget reconciliation process, the far left house members including AOC may then jump ship on it completely destroying any hope of passing anything this congress.
