Chicago Mayor Calls TX Gov. Abbott A Racist For Sending Illegals To Chicago
The Windy City of Chicago, Illinois is led by a radical mayor and city council.
The home of the professional sports teams, the Cubs and Bears, Chicago has an affluent population in one part of town but also a declining urban area with increasing crime on the South and West sides.
Chicago Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot ran on and was elected, to be the city’s first bi-racial lesbian politician, and who promised to fix the violence and poverty issues plaguing the city.
Even though illegal immigration statistically hurts back communities disproportionately, taking away jobs and public resources, Lightfoot declared Chicago a “sanctuary city” for them anyway.
With her public stance of supporting the invasion on the US/Mexico border, Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott announced that he would start busing some of the illegals to her city. Lightfoot’s response to Abbot, you’re a racist.
“He is a man without any morals, humanity or shame,” Lightfoot raged, charging he had “inhumanely load them onto buses,” then cited “Gov. Abbott’s racist and xenophobic practices of expulsion.”
Lightfoot made the heated remarks as the first 75 migrants arrived on two buses from the Lone Star State late Wednesday.

But Seth Christensen, chief of media and communications at the Texas Division of Emergency Management, informed Fox News that the buses had air conditioning, food, water, and security personnel.
In the same speech in which she attacked Abbott for sending the immigrants, Lightfoot claimed, “We are Chicago, a welcoming city, a city where we live our values every single day — a city where immigrants and refugees have been a part of the fabric of the city from our earliest days.”
Abbott had announced the transport to Chicago’s Union station on Wednesday, the third city Abbott has targeted as part of his response to President Biden’s border policies that have overwhelmed Texas with a deluge of illegal immigrants.
“President Biden’s inaction at our southern border continues putting the lives of Texans—and Americans—at risk and is overwhelming our communities,” Abbott stated.
“To continue providing much-needed relief to our small, overrun border towns, Chicago will join fellow sanctuary cities Washington, D.C. and New York City as an additional drop-off location,” Abbott continued.
Abbott then took a few jabs at the city’s chief executive officer: “Mayor Lightfoot loves to tout the responsibility of her city to welcome all regardless of legal status, and I look forward to seeing this responsibility in action as these migrants receive resources from a sanctuary city with the capacity to serve them.”
Abbott’s press secretary Renea Eze also called out Lightfoot, calling her an “absolute hypocrite.”
“Where was her outrage and condemnation of President Biden as he flew planeloads of migrants across the country and dropped them in communities in the cover of night?” Eze asked Fox News Digital.
“Mayor Lightfoot knows nothing about Texas’ busing strategy and needs to stop with the baseless lies and fearmongering.”
“Texas continues stepping up and responding to the Biden-made border crisis, taking unprecedented action to address the historic levels of illegal immigrants, terrorists, and deadly drugs like fentanyl that are surging into our communities and overwhelming border towns,” Eze added.
“If the mayor wants a solution to this humanitarian crisis, she should stop complaining and call on President Biden to take immediate action to secure the border — something the President continues failing to do,” she concluded.
In my humble opinion, Lightfoot is upset because Abbott took her up on her claims espoused during her frequent bouts of virtue signaling.
The city will continue to struggle as more and more illegal “immigrants” from around the world make Chicago their new home.
