What a difference 4,000 illegal aliens and plummeting polls numbers can make in a failing presidents’ decision making process.
The Wall, a main rallying cry for former President’s MAGA movement, had been attacked by left as “racist” leading democrats like Joe Biden had directed governmental agencies to cease all construction of the remaining sections.
But, Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration in a surprising U-Turn has announced they will now fill the gaps in certain areas of former President Donald Trump’s border wall on the U.S. southern border.
The reasons for the change in policy, which is sure to enrage radical open borders activists.
- An illegal immigration crisis is overtaking Washington, D.C., following a decision by Republican governors to transport thousands of illegal aliens to the nation’s capital.
- Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona, who is seeking his party nomination’s next week to defend the seat in November, has pressed the Biden administration to close the gaps, calling them a challenge for officials trying to secure the border.
The AP pointed out that Biden had “pledged during his campaign to cease all future wall construction,” but that his administration has now agreed to some additional barriers.
The radical, open borders, pro-amnesty Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas authorized the project that will close four massive gaps in the border wall near Yuma, Arizona.
Agents stopped illegal border crossers more than 160,000 times from January through June in the Yuma sector, a 400% increase from the same period last year.
The border area has been heavily used by Colombians, Venezuelans and others who have flown into Mexicali, Mexico.
The announcement comes after Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott effectively told Washington, D.C., Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser to stop the whining on Thursday after she complained that the border state was flooding her city with illegal aliens.
“With pledges from Texas and Arizona to continue these abhorrent operations indefinitely, the situation is dire, and we consider this a humanitarian crisis — one that could overwhelm our social support network without immediate and sustained federal intervention,” Bowser wrote in requesting help from the National Guard.
Bowser said in her letter that she expects the “crisis” in D.C., a term that Democrats have resisted using when talking about Biden’s border crisis, “to escalate.” “The number of people crossing the border seeking asylum, we expect to only go up, we need to make sure that there is a national response, not an ad hoc city by city, state by state response,” she continued.
“We’ve had a number of discussions,” she said. “We’ve facilitated FEMA’s involvement with a million dollar grant that has now been increased to work with a lead nonprofit agency. We’ve facilitated using those grant funds to set up respite center in a neighboring jurisdiction and I’ve also asked the Secretary of the Army to deploy the D.C. National Guard to help lead that effort.”

Abbott spokeswoman Renae Eze told the Washington Examiner that the nation’s capital, which is overwhelmingly deep blue, “finally understands what Texans have been dealing with every single day, as our communities are overrun and overwhelmed by thousands of illegal immigrants thanks to President Biden’s open border policies.”

What a great idea it turned out to be for Abbott to bus illegals to democrat cities.
I hope Texas and Arizona continue to send the busses to DC and also to begin bussing to Delaware until the ENTIRE wall is finished and every ILLEGAL rounded up and shipped back to where they came from.
Completing then wall is a good idea but for dopey Joe it is too little too late. His rating is lower than any previous president and even makes Carter look good!!
At this point, it won’t help much because the damage is already done by biden and his gang.
