AZ Clean Elections Gives Ultimatum To Katie Hobbs: Debate Kari Lake, Or Else

A handful of corrupt individuals running for political office have chosen to adopt the Joe Biden how-to campaign playbook.

The plan directs weak, radical candidates to hide in their basement while allowing Silicon Valley donations to pay for commercials and hit pieces on their opponent, to pound the airways and social media for them.

For 20 years, voters in the recent swing state of Arizona have had the opportunity to see their candidates participate on the statewide debate stage, but one candidate running for governor in 2022 wants to take this opportunity away from them.

Katie Hobbs (D) who has been running the Biden playbook, just got some bad news.

The Citizens Clean Election Commission on Thursday rejected Hobbs’ proposal to dodge a face-to-face match with Kari Lake.

Hobbs now has seven days to change her mind or look like an absolute weakling.

The commission was caught off guard on Friday when Hobbs rejected the idea of appearing side-by-side with Lake.

Katie Hobbs had previously responded to the request to participate in the traditional, back-and-forth public debate, weeks after Kari Lake(R) had agreed to attend.

Via a press release, she requested a new format where each candidate conducts a separate thirty-minute town hall-style interview.

With the commission rejecting Hobbs’ request, Lake gleeful took to Twitter:

Kari had previously challenged Hobbs to debate offering to allow her to choose the time, location, moderators, and debate questions.

Lake: It looks like my radical opponent, Katie Hobbs, is going to take a page out of Joe Biden’s playbook and campaign from her basement. Do you want to find out if she’s serious about being Governor? If she is, she will take me up on this offer.

“Katie, I’m speaking directly to you. You claim to care about the people of Arizona. Prove it. Debate me.”

“You name the time and you name the place, and to make things even easier for you I will allow you to choose the moderator. Hell, I’ll even let you write the questions. Seriously, your consultants can write every single question. ask me anything. This is your opportunity to prove to the people of Arizona that you actually have a tiny sliver of respect for them. I’m making it unbelievably easy for you. Think really hard before you turn down this chance. I don’t think you’ll do it. I think you are a coward. Prove me wrong.”

Following Hobbs’s decline to debate, Lake released another video message attacking her ghost candidate:

Lake: Well, the deadline was today, and my opponent, Katie Hobbs, has officially declined the debate. Hobbs is so terrified that I might bring up the fact that she is a twice-convicted racist and that her racism cost the Arizona taxpayers nearly $3 million.

She doesn’t have one single policy to stand on, not one. I made it unbelievably easy for her. She picks the date, the time, the moderator. She even had the chance to write all of the questions, but she would rather hide from the voters and let Soros and other dark money groups pour millions of dollars into attack ads against me. That’s her plan. Well, Katie, it didn’t work in the primary, and it’s not going to work in the general either. Arizona, Hobbs thinks so little of you that she isn’t even going to campaign and try to earn your vote, but I sure will.
