Update: Lisa Marie Presley DEAD at 54, After ‘Full Cardiac Arrest’ at Calabasas Home


UPDATE:

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, has died at the age of 54, hours after she suffered a cardiac arrest at the home where she had been living in Calabasas, California.

Earlier on Thursday, Presley was hurried to a hospital in critical condition and was said to be in a coma following a ‘full cardiac arrest’ shortly after she had been complaining about stomach pains, according to TMZ.

Her mother Priscilla, who was at her daughter’s side, said in a statement: ‘It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. 

‘She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment,’ the statement continued.

Presley’s death comes just two days after she was pictured with her mom at the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hills Hilton where Austin Butler won a Best Actor award for his portrayal of her father in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis.

Her mother Priscilla was seen arriving at hospital, to support her daughter, an hour after reports of the medical episode.

Sources told the outlet that paramedics performed CPR Thursday at her home in Calabasas before she was taken away in an ambulance.

12:05 PM PT — We’re told Lisa Marie Presley went into “full arrest” … our sources say someone gave epinephrine at the scene at least one time in order to assist to Presley get back a pulse.

 

1:19 PM PTPriscilla just arrived to the hospital to be by Lisa Marie‘s side.

Epinephrine, more generally recognized as adrenaline, is administered to treat many life-threatening conditions such as cardiac arrests, asthma attacks and allergic reactions.

DailyMail have contacted L.A. County Sheriff’s Department for comment.

The department told the Hollywood Reporter that deputies responded to the 5900 block of Normandy in the city of Calabasas for a female in her 50s that suffered a cardiac arrest.

The spokesperson stated that the fire department responded and was able to get a pulse on the female and that she was taken to West Hills hospital.

The spokesperson would not establish if the person was Presley, who will turn 55 next month.

Just days earlier Lisa Marie, daughter of Elvis Presley and wife Priscilla, went to the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills along with her mother to watch Austin Butler pick up a gong for his representation of the King of Rock n’ Roll in the film ‘Elvis.’

They were both noticed breaking down in tears during Elvis star Butler’s emotional speech when he won Best Actor, Motion Picture Drama when he said he would love the ladies ‘forever.’

The Presley women had grown close to Butler as he made the epic film directed by Baz Luhrmann.
