The Way — Week 2

THE WAY — WEEK 2 OF 12

A Man Must Take Ownership

The goal this week is to stop blaming circumstances, emotions, distractions, or other people — and begin taking responsibility before God.

⚔️ Weekly Focus

Spiritual maturity begins when a man stops hiding behind excuses and starts taking ownership of his walk with God.

Ownership does not mean pretending you are strong. It means telling the truth, accepting responsibility, repenting where needed, and choosing faithful action.

This week is about identifying where you have been passive, defensive, distracted, or inconsistent — and choosing to respond with humility and responsibility.

📖 Scripture Focus

Genesis 3:9–12

When confronted, Adam shifted blame. A faithful man must learn to stand before God honestly.

Psalm 51:3–4

David confessed his sin plainly before God. Ownership begins with truth.

Galatians 6:5

Each man must bear his own load. Responsibility cannot be outsourced.

🔥 Reflection Questions

✅ Practical Action Step

Choose ONE area where you need to take ownership this week:

  • Your prayer life
  • Your time use
  • Your attitude at home
  • Your spiritual leadership
  • Your response to temptation

Name it clearly. Stop explaining it away. Take one faithful action every day this week.

Complete 7 days of ownership:

  • Confess one neglected area honestly before God
  • Take one practical step of responsibility each day
