Conflict & Forgiveness
Day 2: Repair
Conflict & Forgiveness
Every marriage experiences conflict. The question is not whether conflict exists, but whether couples learn how to handle it with truth, humility, repentance, forgiveness, and grace.
Conflict Reveals What Is Happening Beneath The Surface
Conflict itself is not always the problem. Many marriages are damaged more by avoidance, bitterness, defensiveness, contempt, emotional withdrawal, or unresolved resentment than by honest disagreement.
Healthy couples learn how to move toward conflict carefully rather than running from it or exploding through it.
Forgiveness also becomes essential. Without forgiveness, resentment quietly hardens the heart and slowly poisons trust, connection, and intimacy over time.
This lesson focuses on rebuilding healthier responses, emotional honesty, grace, accountability, and repair after conflict.
